Signs of Ageing Skin

WRINKLES

Wrinkles are a natural component of the aging process. As people age, their skin thins, dries up,
and becomes less elastic, making it less capable of protecting itself from damage. This results in
wrinkles, creases, and lines on the skin. Smoking and other environmental factors can hasten
the appearance of wrinkles.

CROWS' FEET

Crow's feet are also known as the bothersome lines and creases near the outer corners of the
eyes. These deep creases emerge and deepen as we age, becoming more visible with time.
They are frequently the first set of wrinkles that appear on the face. Crow's feet wrinkles
typically emerge in the mid to late thirties. Depending on the health of the skin and overall
care, they can appear in the mid-20s.

DARK SPOTS

Dark spots, also known as hyperpigmentation or age spots, are widespread and become more
prevalent with age. They can be frustrating to deal with because they appear out of nowhere
and frequently show up on the skin, mainly face and hands.

Dark circles

The skin under the eyes can seem purple or bluish because it is so thin and translucent that the
underlying veins are visible. It is particularly noticeable in those with pale complexion and those
who have very little subcutaneous fat supporting the area beneath the lower lid. Lack of sleep
worsens venous congestion; fluid buildup causes pooled blood in superficial blood vessels,
making dark circles appear darker when you're weary.

SUN DAMAGE

According to research, UV exposure accounts for 80% of skin aging. UV radiation can degrade
collagen and elastin, the proteins that keep skin firm and smooth.

BAGS UNDER THE EYES

As you become older, bags under your eyes that mimic little edema or puffiness under your
eyes are frequent. The muscles that support your eyelids and the tissues surrounding them
deteriorate as you age. The lower eyelids may then absorb normal fat that supports the eyes,
giving the lids a puffed appearance.
